Services
Start, stop, and restart identified OS services from PortPilot.
When PortPilot can map a listening port to an OS service, you can Start service, Stop service, or Restart service. This is a Free core control.
Bare PID restart without a service identity is not supported.
Desktop labels: Restart / Start / Stop service. Website port detail uses the same actions. CLI has no service subcommands.
Expected result
The service state changes and the port health layers update.
Common problems
Unknown service, helper down, or insufficient OS permission. Stopping a remote-access service (for example RDP/SSH) can disconnect you — prefer console or another path before Stop service.
