How to expose a local development server
Share a local port through PortPilot’s ngrok integration (Pro).
PortPilot can expose a listening port through the ngrok API. This is a Pro (or Cloud) feature. It is not Cloudflare Tunnel and it does not spawn a generic PortPilot relay.
Steps
- Make sure the app is listening (see it under Ports).
- Confirm your account has Pro/Cloud (Pricing).
- Desktop: Create Tunnel / Tunnels, or CLI:
portpilot expose <port>. - Stop with the UI or
portpilot tunnel stop.
You must have ngrok configured so the agent can call its API. Free can still run the app locally without a tunnel.
